Dhe SC Rohrau has brought 14 new players into its swarm. Nine old mosquitoes, however, were sorted out.
14 newcomers and nine departures. At SC Rohrau, there was a lot of activity during the transition period. “Rejuvenation was the goal,” said neo-coach Michael Moder, describing the benchmark for the transfers. Moder does not believe that there will be teething problems with the abundance of newcomers and that it will take some time to get used to. “In principle, the boys mostly know each other from their previous clubs.” Five newcomers once played at SC Mannswörth in youth and U23. One of them even breathed the air of the city league: Moritz Roethel. The youngster originally wanted to take a break in Mannswörth. But then Rohrau called and he’s already active with the Gelsen.
Another six newcomers come from the Brucker offspring and the 1B. And not to forget: There is also a returnee. Johannes Windholz, who has played in Rohrau before and was last registered with the Prellenkirchners, is celebrating his comeback. He immediately brought his work colleague Lukas Chrawat with him to the mosquito swarm. Although this has not played for a club for a long time, it could turn out to be a grab bag.
“An exciting player. He’s only played small-sided lately, so it could be a change for him. But I expect a lot from him,” said Moder.
