This was announced by the German Football League (DFL) on Tuesday. Between 2009 and 2021, the Saturday games had already started at this time. The game on Saturday evening (8:30 p.m.) remains.

In the current season, the second division games start on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. By changing the kick-off time, the gap between the 2nd division and the Bundesliga (kick-off 3:30 p.m.) will “even out a bit again,” wrote the DFL.
The encounters in the 2nd Bundesliga could again be “followed in full until the end of the game and with the subsequent post-reporting”. The adjustment was coordinated with the broadcasting TV broadcaster Sky.
