As the aftermath of the’third epidemic’ of a new coronavirus infection in Korea (Corona 19) continued in various places, there were confirmed cases nationwide on the 14th.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 290 new confirmed cases were confirmed positive in the Corona 19 test from 0 o’clock to 6 p.m.
There are 28 more than the 262 people counted at the same time the day before.
During the Lunar New Year holidays (2.11-14), the number of confirmed confirmed cases recorded 323, 303, 262, and 290 per day, gradually decreasing, but increased again that day. Overall, the decrease in the number of confirmed cases can be interpreted as the effect of the temporary decrease in the number of consecutive holidays.
In the area where 290 confirmed cases were found on this day, 239 (82.4%) in the metropolitan area and 51 (17.6%) in the non-metropolitan area.
By province, Seoul 136, Gyeonggi 92, Busan 15, Incheon 11, Daejeon 8, Daegu, Ulsan, Chungnam, 5 each, Gyeongbuk 4, Gwangju and Jeonbuk, 3 each, Jeonnam 2, and Gangwon 1 .
Out of 17 provinces nationwide, no confirmed cases have yet come out in Sejong, Chungbuk, Gyeongnam and Jeju.
As there is still time until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0:00 on the 15th is expected to increase further, reaching the early mid- to mid-300s and the late 300s.
The previous day, from 6 p.m. to midnight, an additional 64 people increased, and the final was 326.
The third epidemic, which started in earnest from mid-November last year, showed a gradual decline in the new year and entered a calming phase, but the number of confirmed cases increased again until just before the Lunar New Year holiday, showing an uneasy pattern.
From the 8th to this day, the number of new confirmed cases for the past week was 288 → 303 → 444 → 504 → 403 → 362 → 326 each day, with an average of 376 cases per day.
Among them, the number of confirmed local outbreaks, which is a key indicator of the adjustment of the’social distancing’ stage, and can gauge the epidemic situation in the local community, is at an average of 350 per day, slightly less than the previous day’s standard (353).
In the case of major infections, sporadic outbreaks of both large and small were continued nationwide, with over 80% of new confirmed cases in the metropolitan area.
In Ulsan, four additional people, including co-workers, were confirmed in relation to the employees of large workplaces who were previously tested positive, and in Busan, additional confirmed cases were found, mainly in nursing homes and nursing facilities.
In addition, cases of infection involving large hospitals, family and relative meetings, workplaces, and sports facilities are steadily emerging.
