A 28-year-old woman is in danger for her life after an accident near Sevlievo last night, reported the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gabrovo, BTA reports.
The victim has a craniocerebral injury and cerebral edema, she was admitted to “Tokuda” hospital in Sofia.
The accident happened on a straight section of the Sofia-Varna road, near the junction for the Sevlievo village of Idilevo.
A Kia car driven by a 59-year-old resident of Sevlievo overtook and hit a Peugeot car moving in the same direction, and after the impact both cars went off the roadway.

On the spot, the police officers tested both drivers for alcohol and drugs, and the results of both were negative, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
After an inspection, pre-trial proceedings were initiated for a crime under the Penal Code for causing bodily harm. The reasons for the incident are yet to be established, added the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gabrovo.
