Audrey Hale, 28, who shot and killed six people at a Nashville elementary school, including three 9-year-old children, had a detailed plan of action. The police found that plan, a map of the school and a manifesto in her home.
The police do have “a theory” about her motive, but no statement has been made at this time.
The shooting took place Monday morning (local time) at a Christian elementary school in the US state of Tennessee. Hale was a former student, although it is not clear how long she attended the school.
She “identified as transgender,” the police chief said after questions from reporters. More is not clear about that at the moment.
Hale entered the building by shooting at a door, according to police. In addition to the three young children, three school employees, aged 61 and 60, were also killed. No one else was injured.

The shooter was shot dead by officers on the spot. She was armed with “at least two assault rifles and a pistol”. It is clear that the shooter was in legal possession of two weapons.
Of New York Times writes that it is very rare for female shooters to be behind shootings with more than four victims. Since 1966, that has only happened four times.
US President Joe Biden has called on Congress to act against gun violence in response to the deadly shooting, “because enough is enough”.
