From 5 September, Germany will receive approximately five million doses of the BA.1 vaccine adapted from Biontech / Pfizer every week. FPÖ criticizes vaccine management
The FPÖ has found a new reason to criticize the management of corona vaccination: more than 2.5 million doses of “Novavax” purchased by the Ministry of Health will expire on 23 September. Out of 2.6 million doses, only 9,355 were vaccinated, FPÖ health spokesman Gerhard Kaniak explained in response to an investigation by Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens). From Kaniak’s point of view, this is a “waste of tax money”.

German intensive care physician for increased use of Paxlovid
To avoid serious coronary diseases, the president of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI), Gernot Marx, relies on the drug Paxlovid. “I actually believe that stronger treatment with this drug could help fewer coronary patients with a severe course to be treated in the ICU,” Marx told the Funke media group (Sunday).
The study data indicated that administration of Paxlovid, especially at the beginning of an infection, could prevent a severe course. “If drug treatment is indicated and the patient desires it, doctors should do it more than before.”

The US Burning Man festival returns after the pandemic has stopped
Due to the crown pandemic, the legendary Burning Man Festival in the United States had been canceled for the past two years, but now the desert event with tens of thousands of visitors is repeating itself. From Sunday (August 28) to Labor Day (September 5), about 80,000 “burners” were expected on a dry salt lake in the Black Rock Desert (US state of Nevada).
The week-long scene with musical and artistic events traditionally attracts artists, techno fans, pyrotechnicians and onlookers from all over the world. In the desert, participants build a temporary city called Black Rock City with tents and mobile homes. A fundamental ritual at the end of the cult event is the burning of the “Burning Man”, a large wooden statue.
