27 Countries Reportedly Will Send Military and Medical Aid to Ukraine

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

A total of 27 countries are said to be sending military aid, medical supplies, and weapons to Ukraine. English and United States of America included in the 27 countries.

Citing Sky News, this news became known after the British Minister of Defense, Ben Wallace organized a meeting of military aid donors on Friday (25/2).

A total of 25 countries participated in the virtual meeting. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) also attended the conference.

However, two countries were unable to attend this meeting, but stated separately that they would support the donation.

Some of the items that will be sent to Ukraine include ammunition, anti-air weapons, anti-tank weapons, and a number of medical supplies.

Meanwhile, there are already two countries that are said to be providing military assistance to Ukraine, namely Poland and France.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country had received help from France. The aid is now moving towards its territory.

“A new day at the forefront of diplomacy begins with talks with [Presiden Prancis] @EmmanuelMacron,” Zelensky wrote in a Twitter statement Saturday.

“Weapons and equipment from our partners have moved towards Ukraine. The anti-war coalition is on its way!” he continued.

However, Zelensky did not specify what assistance the French provided.

On the other hand, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said his country had sent a convoy of ammunition to Ukraine.

“A convoy of ammunition that we gave to Ukraine has reached our neighbor. We support Ukraine, show solidarity and categorically reject Russian aggression,” Błaszczak tweeted on his Twitter account, Saturday (26/2).

Military assistance is one of the things that Ukraine needs in overcoming the increasingly vicious Russian invasion. Russia began attacking the capital Kiev on Saturday (26/2), forcing residents to hide to avoid being hit by shrapnel.
