According to the police, the burials of 430 people killed and tortured, as well as the graves of the soldiers’ brothers, were deliberately located in the forest area.
Many citizens who were in the occupied territories became witnesses of war crimes. They provide investigators with evidence on the locations where the Russian troops were located, the locations of the headquarters, the commanders’ offices, the locations where the Ukrainians were imprisoned and tortured.
“One of the torture chambers was found in the Izjuma District Police Department. The investigative operational groups are already working there,” the statement read.
Investigators have already opened a criminal case under the article of the Ukrainian Criminal Code on violations of the laws and customs of war.
