New York police say they have arrested a suspect in the death of actress Lisa Baines, who died two months ago after being hit on the street by a scooter or motorcycle, the driver of which fled the scene.
Brian Boyd, 26, is accused of leaving the scene of the crash that caused his death and failing to give way to a pedestrian.
Baines was bumped as she crossed the street in front of Lincoln Center on June 4, visiting the former Juilliard Theater School. Ten days later, she died at the age of 65 in hospital from a traumatic brain injury resulting from the accident. Then the sad news was announced by the manager of the actress David Williams.
Baines was born in Ohio in 1955. Her acting career began in the mid-80s, recalls BTA. She has appeared in more than 80 feature films and series, including Desperate Housewives, Don’t Say Goodbye, Cocktail, and has appeared in numerous Broadway performances.
