Tyler Marie Thorp, a 26-year-old girl, died on Friday in the early hours of the morning after falling from a fire escape located in a five-story building where she had come to visit a friend, according to local media.
According to the police report, at around 1:00 am the young women decided to go up to the terrace by the emergency staircase at 237 E 28th Street, in Keps Bay, in Manhattan, when she slipped.
After a call to 911, the paremedics arrived at the scene and found the young woman lying in the back of the building where she was pronounced dead.

The authorities have indicated that they are awaiting the results of an autopsy.
Tyler Marie Thorp was a resident of the Bronx, and is the second woman to die, in the last week, after falling from the roof of a building in this city.
Last Saturday, a finance worker identified as Cameron Perrelli, 24, died after falling down the oxygen duct of two buildings.
Perrelli was reportedly participating in a party on the roof of the East Village apartment building. Police said the young woman tried to jump from one building to another when she fell. After being released, she was transferred to Bellevue Hospital, but did not survive.
