Mexico City. In the areas of health, 251 military personnel graduated this Tuesday in a ceremony led by the Secretary of Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval Gónzalez.
The graduation ceremony of the Military Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Health Officers was held at the Military Center for Health Sciences (CE.MI.C.SA.) based in Lomas de Sotelo, Mexico City.
The 251 soldiers completed their studies in medicine, nursing, public health and medical emergencies. Of the figures, five are scholarship holders from Central American countries: two from Honduras, two from Guatemala and one from Panama.
“All of them are prepared to provide quality and warm medical care,” Sedena said in a statement.
Taking the floor, Brigadier General Francisco Garibay González, Director of the Military School of Medicine and Commander of CE.MI.C.SA., stated that the graduates are trained for the challenges that arise, always fulfilling their duties with loyalty and honor.
It was highlighted that the women and men who completed their studies “are committed soldiers, forged with the noblest values of loyalty, professionalism, love of career and service to the country, reaffirming in their professional practice the motto that distinguishes this Military Studies Center: Knowledge as a purpose, health as an objective.”
The Military Center for Health Sciences was inaugurated on March 16, 2016 to train future health professionals of the Mexican Army and Air Force and their families.
It has a multidisciplinary approach, which has the capacity to host 1,700 students, who acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to cover the health needs of the Mexican Army and Air Force.
