Cut roads, blown roofs, power cuts: the Aurora storm caused damage in its path in the northern half of France.
This Thursday morning, nearly 250,000 homes are deprived of electricity and train traffic, especially regional, is severely disrupted because of the strong winds.
TER lines are impacted: no train runs in Normandy, nor in Champagne-Ardenne. In Ile-de-France, in Hauts-de-France and in the great East, TER traffic is severely disrupted.
After placing a dozen departments on orange vigilance for violent wind, this Thursday morning, Météo France, revised its vigilance downwards with more than three departments concerned at 8:30 am: the Meuse, the Marne and the Ardennes.
