The whole event is a pilot project of dismantling culture. The aim is to show that concerts are a safe place if all the recommended precautions are followed. Viewers must therefore either provide proof that they are more than 14 days after the end of vaccination, or that they have a negative PCR result of up to 72 hours or a maximum of 48 hours of antigen testing by a professional laboratory. The last option is a written confirmation from the doctor that they did covid-19 a maximum of 90 days from the date of the concert.

Limited testing will also be available on site. The organizers reserve the right to perform a random antigen test on the spot of any visitor in case of doubt about his health.

“After a warmly received outdoor exhibition of 30 years of free culture, which we are organizing in Na Příkopě Street, we agreed with other subjects of the cultural scene that it is time to organize an event that will unblock cultural life in the Czech Republic. Together with Chinaski, Pavel Šporcel and others, we want to show that it is normal to go out for culture and that we will be able to enjoy it safely in the summer. I believe that thanks to this event, we will be able to start working normally again and plan events as we and our fans were used to, ”said Romana Jedličková, a founding member of APPOK.

People can book tickets in the Ticketlive pre-sale network. The event is not organized for profit, so admission will be free for registered visitors. Performing artists waived their royalties and all cooperating companies provided people, materials and services at their own expense. The organizers decided to dedicate part of the tickets to the concert to paramedics, rescuers, firefighters, salesmen and other professions, whom they want to thank for their commitment during the pandemic.

Pilot concerts are also planned for next week by representatives of classical music. On 10 May, the Czech Philharmonic will celebrate 125 years since its founding with a concert in Dvořák’s Rudolfinum Hall, where 350 listeners with valid PCR tests will sit for the first time since October last year. The pilot project of the Ministry of Culture included four concerts of the Prague Spring Festival in the presence of the audience, including the opening on May 12 in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House.

On Monday, the Minister of Culture Lubomír Zaorálek (ČSSD) criticized the proposal for the release of covid measures in culture, which he received from the Ministry of Health. He finds it discriminatory against other sectors. It conditions, for example, a higher participation of spectators in cultural events by passing a PCR test or the percentage vaccination of the population.
