We know it. In addition to the health crisis, the Covid-19 has also caused an economic crisis. Maintaining the October Days is therefore clearly visible this year as a way to help companies get through this slump.
“We have 250 exhibitors, which is a normal rate compared to other years”, notes Jean-David Gerber, sales manager for the general public exhibitions of the Parc-Expo. “Among them are 150 exhibitors from Haut-Rhin. “
Distributed in different villages according to their specialties, the professionals will come with their flagship products and any novelties.
Each village has its specialties
At the entrance of the event, the public will find the village of creators. Here you will find the artisans who have been asked to flower their stand to create a common thread all the way to Folie’Flore. In the habitat village, visitors will discover professionals in interior design, renovation, fashion and furniture. The local market will bring together products ranging from rum to cold meats, including wine or groceries.

As always, the gourmet village will be the restaurant sector. All will take their precautions to respect the sanitary instructions. To celebrate the event’s 60th anniversary, each restaurant owner will offer his or her anniversary cocktail (s). Among the novelties, we can note the presence of Pure Etc. with its vegetarian and organic menu and the Brasserie de Lutterbach and its menu with Alsatian flavors and its 60-year-old beer. “It’s a festive beer with hops with slightly fruity and floral notes,” notes Jindra Tomes, the brewer. “It’s a 5.3% amber beer. “

The last village is directly linked to Folie’Flore since it is the village of the garden. There, the public will be able to discover the novelties for the outside, all the best in terms of plants, garden shelters or fences, swimming pool shelters, verandas …
Cocktails everywhere!
As for entertainment, the Place des Fêtes will offer different atmospheres depending on the day. More like salsa on Fridays, 80s on Saturdays and Latin on Sundays, the place will be the “ideal place to enjoy a drink with friends or family”.
A showcase of trades will be hosted by Daniel Zenner who will present his recipes for traditional dishes revisited, always related to the theme of flowers. A mixologist will accompany him every day at aperitif time to present a cocktail. The bakers will also be part of the party, especially for their baguette and golden croissant competition on Wednesday October 7, and CFA demonstrations from October 5 to 8.
Alsatian music lovers will be able to find, as they do every year, the stage of the Auberge du boucher with Steph’Band and Philip Savana, Rino Lombardi or the group Challenger.

JO security covid
Of course, for the demonstration to take place, the organizers had to put in place a security protocol. A gauge was set at 5,000 people and the aisles were widened. “Over the entire surface of the park, each will have an average of 6 m² of space,” says Betty Muller, president of the October Days association. “It’s much more than in a city in a pedestrian zone. “
Restaurant owners were asked to be ready to serve the public from 6 p.m.
To avoid waiting to be able to enter, it is strongly recommended to reserve your time slot before your visit. A reservation system has been set up for people who already have a paper or electronic ticket as well as for those who want to buy their ticket on the online store.
The mask will be compulsory for all and the personnel of the Parc-Expo will be hard at work to ensure constant cleaning, especially in the toilets.
