250 Bethesda developers still working on Starfield

Starfield is a huge game that hundreds of Bethesda employees worked on before it was released, and continue to work on now while many people still play it. And by the looks of it, roughly half of the original development team is still busy with it, which isn’t surprising given the patches, modding tools, and planned DLC.

Todd Howard said in a conversation with Wired:

As you speak to me, we have 450 people working here. We still have people working on Fallout 76, and about 250 people working on Starfield.

These games exist thanks to all these people and our joint work. That’s why games are so big, there are so many moving parts and interesting things that players can find – it’s the result of the work of each of us.

Thus, now about half of all employees are involved in Starfield support and development. In the past, the developers have already reported that the space RPG was made by about 500 people. For comparison, Fallout 76 had a maximum of 200 employees.

The remaining employees have already moved on to The Elder Scrolls 6, as for Fallout 5, then most likely there are only a few people working on it.
