A further 25 scholarships were awarded for teacher training students

For the second time, Saxony-Anhalt’s Education Minister Eva Feußner has awarded 25 scholarships to teacher training students who undertake to work in regions with low teaching provision. “Our goal is to make the teaching profession in Saxony-Anhalt even more attractive and to strengthen teaching provision in all regions,” explained the CDU politician on Tuesday. The scholarship is worth 600 euros per month for the duration of the standard period of study. In return, the women and men undertake to teach in future in regions for which teachers are difficult to find.

According to the information, 13 of the 25 new scholarship holders are studying to become teachers in secondary schools, 3 in special schools and another 9 in primary schools. You study in Saxony-Anhalt, but also in Saxony, Thuringia, Hesse, Lower Saxony and Bavaria.
The first 25 so-called “world saver” scholarships were awarded in May. In the coming years there should be 25 for the winter semester, explained the Ministry of Education.
