From the favorite car of Brezhnev and Mao to the strangest Lamborghini: the first half of the year brought quite a few exotics
For the first six months of this year 101,362 used cars were added to the car fleet in Bulgaria, shows the traditional Automedia.bg reference for registrations in the Ministry of the Interior. There is nothing particularly unusual about most of them: these are the same second-hand machines that Bulgarian buyers have preferred for two decades. Roughly one in ten of these cars is a Volkswagen Golf, and then there are thousands of Passats, C- and E-Classes, BMW 3 and 5 Series, Audi A4 and A6, and so on.
But in this article we will pay attention to the more exotic machines – those that come to us in single units, which are recognized or future classicsor at least carry enough memories from the distant past to bring smiles to our faces when we see them on the streets.

Lamborghini Espada
The Espada is one of the most unusual cars in Lamborghini’s history – a 4-seater coupé produced in only 1,227 units between 1968 and 1978. Behind it stand the names of two geniuses: Marcello Gandini for the design, and Giotto Bizarini for the astonishing V12 engine with six the Weber carburetor, developing 325 horsepower in the first production run and 350 in the next two. The piece imported to Bulgaria is from the last, third series.
