The Tecumseh Gateway Tower real estate program is located at 11870 Tecumseh Road East.
According to a press release, the complex includes a six-storey apartment building with 99 apartments, including 14 with one bedroom and 85 with two bedrooms. A gymnasium and an outdoor area are also included in the project.
In total, 31 units will have affordable rents.

At the virtual press conference on Tuesday, project officials said 5,800 people are on waiting lists for affordable housing in the community. According to them, 44% of renters spend 30% or more of their income on housing.

Construction on the project began in the fall of 2020. The project is expected to be completed within the next 18 months and welcome the first residents in 2022.
