25 million euros in corona loans for companies in Baden-Baden – 69 million euros for companies in the Rastatt district

Berlin / Baden-Baden / Rastatt, November 7th, 2020, report: editorial staff According to the SPD member of the Bundestag Gabriele Katzmarek, “companies in Baden-Baden have so far received funding commitments from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) totaling around 25 million euros”.

KfW had “also promised companies from the Rastatt district financial aid of around 69 million euros until the end of September 2020”.

“These loans will help the companies to come through the difficult times,” Katzmarek is quoted in a written communication from her office. “Small and medium-sized companies with fewer than 250 employees have submitted 97 percent of the funding applications nationwide,” the message continues. “99 percent of the loans amount to less than three million euros.”

There is additional help from the federal government and the state of Baden-Württemberg for start-ups and social enterprises. “The federal government is giving companies that have had to close again for four weeks since November 2, 2020, additional extraordinary economic aid amounting to up to 10 billion euros. This applies in particular to restaurants, hotels and event organizers, ”explains Katzmarek, member of the Bundestag. The SPD is working flat out on this aid in the Bundestag.
