Thodupuzha: In Idukki, a complaint was lodged that senior Congress leaders had taken money to defeat the UDF in the local government elections. Local Congress workers and the RSP have lodged a complaint with the KPCC. Meanwhile, Congress workers set fire to the coffins of district leaders in protest of the alleged sabotage.
KPCC secretary Roy K from Idukki district said that the party candidates had failed miserably even in the strongholds of the UDF in the Thodupuzha municipality. Congress workers burned the coffins of Paul and the block president in protest. They are accused of defeating party candidates by fielding rebels.
Meanwhile, another complaint was raised that three senior Congress leaders in the High Range had taken money and defeated the UDF. It is alleged that Rs 25 lakh was taken from the CPM. Local Congress and RSP activists have lodged complaints with the KPCC.
