The first level warning on a three-level scale for the Tatra and Nowy Targ poviats is valid from 6 p.m. on Tuesday until 9 on Wednesday: “Strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 km/h, with gusts of up to 85 km/h, are forecast to occur from the south and southwest.”

The wind is expected to be the strongest in the Tatra Mountains, where at night gusts may reach 120 km per hour. The mountain wind brought warmer temperatures. Today the thermometers in Zakopane can see temperatures as high as 16-17 degrees Celsius. It’s going to be a sunny day.
