Louis Delétraz (22) will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. The Geneva driver will drive for the Swiss team Rebellion in the Sarthe.

He will have teammates on car # 3 the French Romain Dumas, triple winner at Le Mans, and Nathanaël Berthon. Delétraz will also participate in the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on April 25. The Belgian race will serve as a dress rehearsal for the big event of the weekend of June 13/14. These dates do not collide with the Formula 2 championship that the Swiss will race with the Charouz team.

“Making my endurance debut at 22, with a prestigious Swiss team like Rebellion and with a car that can aim for victory, it’s really something special. I thank Rebellion for giving me this chance and for trusting me “said the Genevese.

Rookie in WEC – he participated only in a test at the end of 2019 on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain -, Louis Delétraz is happy to have two teammates experienced in the discipline. “I am confident of having the necessary speed, but it’s great to have two other drivers who can advise me on other aspects specific to driving the LMP1. We know that we don’t win in WEC only with the speed, you also have to be smart. “

The Genevan can also turn to his father. Jean-Louis Delétraz has indeed participated nine times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with two category successes. “I am sure he will also give me good advice.”
