After 13 years of serving as a kindergarten teacher in Malang, Melati had to become an undergraduate. This requirement is required by the kindergarten where Melati teaches.
By holding the S-1 title, Melati can become a classroom teacher, no longer a companion teacher. At the request of the school, Melati finally took the S-1 level at the Open University (UT).
When she entered the 9th semester, Melati had difficulty paying the semester money of IDR 2.5 million. The obligation must be paid, otherwise Melati fails to hold a bachelor’s degree.
In a tight situation, with a salary of only Rp. 400 thousand / month, Melati received advice from a friend to borrow money through an online application or online loan (Pinjol).
“Finally I borrowed online. Because one application can only be a maximum of Rp. 400 thousand to Rp. 600 thousand, I finally borrowed from 5 applications,” said Melati when met at her residence, Monday (17/5/2021).
Online loans finally approved, but Melati was only given 7 days to pay it in full. Still running 5 days, the bill has been done.
