Who was the best player of the 2021/22 season in LaLiga? The prize awarded by Transfermarkt will change hands in Spanish football for the first time in four years as Lionel Messi took possession of it since he took the crown from Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018.

This is how the vote for LaLiga’s ‘Player of the Season’ works
A new design, but the same goal: the Transfermarkt community made a shortlist of 6 candidates per position (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward) from which you must choose first. Next, you choose who you consider to be the best player of the season among the selected stars. You have time until the last hour of May 31 to vote!
Vote in the other major leagues in Europe
Of course, our need to find the best player for the 2021/22 season is not limited to LaLiga. As in previous years, you can also vote for your favorite player in the main European leagues such as the Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Premier League and many more: there are 13 to choose from.
