According to the authorities, a total of 49,566 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 44,200 of these can now be regarded as recovered.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days has risen to 68.1. 330 corona patients are treated in Hamburg’s hospitals. 83 of them are receiving intensive care.
Five more deaths
According to the RKI, 1,202 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city since the beginning of the pandemic. This means that five more deaths have been recorded within one day.
Around 14,000 PCR tests are evaluated in laboratories every day
The number of those who tested positive in the care facilities continues to decline: According to the authorities on Tuesday, 195 residents are currently infected in a total of 30 facilities. The number of laboratory-evaluated PCR tests carried out in Hamburg is currently an average of around 14,100 tests per working day. The rate of positive results is around 4.7 percent. In addition, many rapid tests are carried out, the results of which are not fully available to the authorities.
