The Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Tuesday, that 101 recovered from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 100,540 cases until today.
The Ministry of Health and Population Statement for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the Ministry stated that 232 new cases that proved positive for laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the Ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 14 new cases.
The statement said, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
The statement stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Tuesday, is 109,654 cases, including 100,540 cases that have been cured, and 6394 deaths.
