23-year-old is the youngest to die from COVID, two women at 91 are the oldest victims of the virus

A 23-year-old woman, for whom there is currently no information about concomitant diseases, is the youngest to die from COVID in the last 24 hours, the National Information System reported.

The oldest patients who died, also women, were 91 years old and there was no information about other diseases or whether they had been vaccinated.

There are 1,892 newly diagnosed persons with COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, of which 898 were detected by PCR and 994 by rapid antigen tests. The tests performed during the last 24 hours were a total of 25,189. Of these, 6,581 were PCR and 18,608 antigens.

The distribution by districts at the current address of the persons is as follows: Blagoevgrad – 100; Burgas – 107; Varna – 130; Veliko Tarnovo – 72; Vidin – 37; Vratsa – 42; Gabrovo – 42; Dobrich – 40; Kardzhali – 24; Kyustendil – 34; Lovech – 32; Montana – 44; Pazardzhik – 69; Pernik – 28; Pleven – 46; Plovdiv – 162; Razgrad – 41; Ruse – 63; Silistra – 29; Sliven – 74; Smolyan – 20; Sofia region – 79; Sofia city – 296; Stara Zagora – 100; Targovishte – 44; Haskovo – 58; Shumen – 39; Yambol – 40.

At present, a total of 480,777 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria. 38,980 of them are active. 421 842 are the cured persons, of which 2 432 are registered during the past 24 hours.

A total of 4,649 patients with proven coronavirus infection were admitted to hospitals. 395 of them are in intensive care units and structures.

2,458,928 are the total doses of vaccines against COVID-19 in Bulgaria. 10,450 of them have been applied in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Information System in our country, the new coronavirus has been confirmed in 14,214 medical staff. 29 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. 5 of them were found by doctors, 17 – by nurses, 5 – by nurses and 2 – by other medical staff.

The death toll in which the coronavirus infection was diagnosed was 19,955. 79 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours. They died:

a 44-year-old man with diabetes, chronic kidney and heart disease;

an 80-year-old woman for whom there is currently no information on concomitant diseases;

a 61-year-old man for whom there is currently no information on concomitant diseases;

a 71-year-old man with heart disease and diabetes;

a 77-year-old man with heart and cancer;

an 83-year-old woman with heart disease;

an 82-year-old man with heart and chronic neurological disease;

an 83-year-old man with heart disease;

a 69-year-old man with heart disease;

an 87-year-old woman with chronic lung and chronic kidney disease;

a 72-year-old woman with heart disease;

a 79-year-old man for whom no concomitant diseases have yet been introduced into the system;

a 79-year-old man with heart disease;

a 61-year-old man with heart and chronic neurological disease;

a 55-year-old woman for whom no concomitant diseases have yet been introduced into the system;
