German and Belgian customs have found a hell of a lot. During two separate operations, they discovered more than 20 tons of cocaine. It would be one of the five largest seizures in the world, worth more than 600 million euros.
First in the port of Hamburg, Germany, where sixteen tonnes of cocaine were found in containers from Paraguay. The drugs were hidden in cans believed to contain putty.
The second operation took place in the port of Antwerp, Belgium. There, 7 tons were found in a container transporting wood from Panama.
Each time, the same recipient in the Netherlands: a 28-year-old man, manager of an import company in Rotterdam, who was arrested.
