The People Power Party said that public sentiment has been revealed that the country cannot be entrusted to abusive language, corruption, and criminals, and demanded that the government and ruling party be given seats where it can work properly.

Han Dong-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party’s emergency committee, sent a statement to the party’s general election candidates early this morning asking them to “mobilize all their strength to encourage voting.”

The Democratic Party said, “We have confirmed the people’s order to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration for its arrogance and lack of communication during the election period,” and emphasized, “The fate of the Republic of Korea depends on the votes of the people.”

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, encouraged voting by leaving a message on his personal SNS early this morning saying, “If you vote, you will win.”

The Green Justice Party made a final appeal for support, saying, “Please make choices for workers, farmers, climate, women, and minorities.”

Lee Nak-yeon, co-representative of New Future, also posted a message on his personal SNS saying, “We are desperate,” and asking, “Please get one more vote until the last second.”

The New Reform Party started encouraging people to vote, saying, “Please bring about change in Korean politics,” and ask people to make “rational and moral choices.”

The Fatherland Innovation Party emphasized that “Korean democracy is as precarious as a lamp in the wind,” and “Please cast a vote that no one can take away.”

Voting will continue until 6 p.m. today, and representatives from each party will watch the results of the vote count in each party’s situation room set up in the National Assembly from around 5 p.m.
