In the last seven days, an average of 3,776 corona infections have been registered per day.
The corresponding average seven days ago was 4,702, so the trend is declining.
On Friday, 288 corona patients were hospitalized. There were 23 fewer than the day before.
119 of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them 80 are on a respirator. There are six fewer on intensive care and four more on a respirator compared with the day before, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.
At midnight on Saturday night, 9.1 million corona tests had been performed in this country since February last year.
A total of 370,134 people tested positive.
To date, 4,279,565 people have received the first dose of the coronary vaccine, 3,912,709 people have received the second and 1,433,238 have received the third dose.
A total of 1,257 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. Whether patients have died of or with covid-19 is not always possible to establish.
58.6 percent of all deaths are 80 years old. In the age group under 50, 29 deaths have been reported in Norway.
