A young woman disappeared in Ansbach on Tuesday. The police searched for the 22-year-old with a large number – she could only be found dead.
After an employee of a residential home reported a 22-year-old woman missing on Tuesday afternoon, October 1, 2024, the search for the young woman came to a tragic end a short time later. After extensive searches, police forces found the missing woman lifeless in a stream.
According to the police, an employee of a psychiatric facility in Ansbach reported the 22-year-old woman missing at around 12:30 p.m. The police then launched a large search for the woman. In addition to the local police forces, several police dogs as well as a police helicopter and mountain rescue services were in action.
At around 4:30 p.m., officials discovered the woman lifeless in a stream north of Egloffstein. The doctor who was notified could only determine that the 22-year-old was dead. The Bamberg criminal police took over the investigation on site.
According to the current status, there is no evidence of external influence. The exact background to the death is now part of the investigation.
