The world of non-fungible tokens (NFT’s) is a crazy world. Pictures, videos, tweets; you can’t imagine whether they are converted into NFTs and then sold. A 22-year-old boy from Indonesia has even become a millionaire by selling the unique tokens. Is he a talented artist? No, he simply sold his selfies!
Ghozali took selfies for 5 years
22-year-old computer science student Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali took a selfie every day for the past 5 years. With the more than 1,000 selfies he wanted to make a video, something he eventually did. But when NFTs landed in his path, he decided to take it a step further. He converted the selfies into NFTs and sold them on OpenSea.

And now you will think, no one is interested in that, right? Ghozali put the NFTs up for sale for $3 each, but the photo series soon became a little hype on Twitter. On January 14, one of his selfies went even over the counter for 0.247 ethereum (ETH). That’s a whopping €700!
But that wasn’t the peak yet. The so-called floor price for one of his other selfies rose finally up to a price of 0.9 ETH, or $2,600. The total trading volumes of the collection on OpenSea are now around €900 thousand.
From student to millionaire
Ghozali could not have imagined that his NFTs would become so popular. The Indonesian student would have become a millionaire with his collection. A bizarre story that actually fits perfectly into the bizarre world of NFTs. And now he has to pay taxes.
Of course I will pay for it because I am a good Indonesian citizen#PajakKitaUntukKita

NFTs are crypto tokens that are unique. Like 1 ETH, an NFT is on the blockchain. However, all kinds of things can be linked to an NFT, such as pictures, videos and anything that can be stored digitally. The major news agency ANP recently announced historical photos in the form of NFTs.
