“21st Vaccination Week of the Americas in East Panama: Ministry of Health Reports Over 4,194 Vaccines Administered”

City of Panama/Under the motto “Get up to date, every shot counts“, he Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported on the completion of the 21st Vaccination Week of the Americas in East Panama this Saturday April 29, the same one that began last Saturday 22.

As part of the actions carried out during this week, the vaccination team of this area carried out a house-to-house day in Las Colinas, in the Pacora township. According to the entity, until this Friday the 28th, more than 4,194 doses of vaccines by the nursing team Minsa and the Social Security Fund.

During this day, various health tours were carried out, where different services were provided such as blood pressure measurement, oral health, social work, health promotion, vaccination of pets, nutrition and delivery of nutritional creams.

For the Dr. Ilka Castillo, Regional Director of the Minsa, Vaccines have changed the course of history, avoiding health complications and loss of life.

“Now that we have more vaccines, including against COVID 19 and influenza, we need the population to go to health facilities to get vaccinated; especially with children under 6 years of age who are the most vulnerable to diseases”he added.
