21st Edition of Bulgarian Christmas Concert in National Theater Supports Children’s Surgery

The concert on the occasion of the 21st edition of “Bulgarian Christmas” takes place in the “Ivan Vazov” National Theater. The event started at 8:00 p.m. This year, the event is in support of children’s surgery.

This year, prominent Bulgarian musical performers are also supporting the charity initiative to help children in need by participating in the concert.

In 2023, the charity initiative helped 586 children with the amount of BGN 1,228,337. To help treat children in 2023, “Bulgarian Christmas” donated medical equipment with a total value of BGN 2,283,576 to 26 medical institutions from the whole country.

Nina Kuzmanova is one of the children of the Bulgarian Christmas. She was born with a health problem that confined her to a wheelchair. Now she is a second-year student, majoring in “National Security and Defense”. “When I was in the 5th or 6th grade, I joined the “Bulgarian Christmas” and so on until I was 18. Now I can swim on my own, I walk with a walker. Some kids didn’t accept me well when we went out, they asked me why I didn’t get out of the stroller . Parents need to think and explain to the children,” says Nina.

Nina’s dream is to someday run a show or column about people like her.
