The epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health this Monday comes with the approximate figures of what are the reliable cases of infections by Covid-19 broken down by municipality.

The numbers correspond to the data collected until 00:00 on Monday and can only hold about 75% of real cases. Across Minho, 505 cases of infection are confirmed.

Braga, with 213 confirmed cases, Guimarães with 75 and Famalicão with 71 are the municipalities in the region most affected by the pandemic.

It follows the municipality of Viana do Castelo with 36, Barcelos with 35, Vila Verde with 15, Póvoa de Lanhoso with 12, Arcos de Valdevez and Amares with 9 and Esposende with 8, Fafe with 6, Vizela and Ponte de Lima with 5 Caminha records 3 (two less than yesterday). Vieira do Minho enters the list for the first time, with 3 confirmed cases.

Portugal today records 140 deaths associated with covid-19, 21 more than on Sunday, and 6,408 infected (446 more), according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

The report on the epidemiological situation in Portugal, with data updated until 00:00 on Monday, indicates that the North region is the one with the highest number of deaths (74), followed by the Central region (34), the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, with 30 deaths, and the Algarve, which today registers two deaths.

In relation to Sunday, when 119 deaths were registered, today there was an increase of 17.6% (plus 21).

According to DGS data, there are 6,408 confirmed cases, plus 446 (an increase of 7.48%), compared to Sunday.

Of the 140 deaths recorded, 85 were over 80 years old, 31 were aged between 70 and 79 years old, 16 between 60 and 69 years old, six between 50 and 59 years old and two deaths between 40 and 49 years old.

DGS data, which refer to 75% of confirmed cases, specify that Porto is the municipality with the highest number of SARSCov2 coronavirus infections (941), followed by Lisbon (633 cases), Vila Nova de Gaia (344), Maia (313, Matosinhos (295), Gondomar (276) and Ovar (241).

Since January 1, 44,206 suspected cases have been registered, of which 4,845 are awaiting the results of the analyzes.

The epidemiological bulletin also indicates that there are 32,953 cases in which the test result was negative and that 43 patients recovered.

Of the 6,408 people infected with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the vast majority (5,837) are recovering at home, 571 (over 85, + 17.4%) are hospitalized, 164 (over 26, +18.8 %) of which in Intensive Care Units.

The North region continues to register the highest number of infections, totaling 3,801, followed by the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, with 1,577 cases, from the Central region (784), the Algarve (116) and the Alentejo, which today has 45 cases .

There are still 41 people infected with covid-19 in the Azores and 44 in Madeira.

DGS also records 11,482 surveillance contacts by the authorities (minus 6,303).

The age group most affected is 40 to 49 years old (1,210), followed by 50 to 59 years old (1,150), 30 to 39 years old (965) and 60 to 69 years old (901).

There are also 71 cases of children aged up to nine years, 149 of young people aged between 10 and 19 years old and 637 aged between 20 and 29 years old.

The data also indicate that there are 668 cases of people aged between 70 and 79 years old and 657 over 80 years old.

According to the DGS report, 128 cases result from the importation of the virus from Spain, 93 from France, 41 from the United Kingdom, 28 from Italy, 24 from Switzerland, 21 from the United Arab Emirates, 13 from Andorra, 10 from Brazil, eight Netherlands , seven from Germany, six from Belgium, five from Argentina, five from the USA, four from Austria, four in Cape Verde and four in Canada.

The bulletin also reports on three cases imported from India and three from Israel and two from Egypt, two from Ireland and two from Jamaica.

A case was also imported from Austria / Germany, Australia, Chile, Cuba, Denmark, Indonesia, Iran, Luxembourg, Malta, Maldives, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Czech Republic, Thailand, Venezuela and Ukraine.
