In the last seven days, an average of 181 corona infections have been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 173, so the trend is rising.
On Monday, 108 corona infections were registered the previous day, which was 12 more than the same day last week.
At midnight on Tuesday night, 5.9 million corona tests had been performed in this country since February last year. A total of 129,545 people tested positive.
To date, 2,177,972 people have received the first dose of the coronary vaccine, and 1,456,625 people have received the second dose, the latest shows the numbers updated Monday.
On Monday, 38 corona-infected patients were admitted to hospitals in Norway. There is a decrease of one patient from Friday. Seven of the patients receive respiratory treatment, and ten are in the intensive care unit.
A total of 790 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. Whether patients have died of or with covid-19 is not always possible to establish.
Just over 58 per cent of all deaths have reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, 17 deaths have been reported in Norway.
