– In order to get out of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) recession, President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion (2,100 trillion won) relief bill, which is being promoted by President Joe Biden, has passed the critical milestone for its passage. Even if the Republican Party objected, it had a way to deal with it.

On the 5th, the Senate and House of Representatives dealt with a resolution that would allow the Corona 19 relief bill to be passed through the exercise of the right to adjust the budget.

According to foreign media such as the Associated Press, the Senate adopted a resolution of 51 to 50 and the House of Representatives to 219 to 209. In the Senate, in 50-50, Vice President Kamala Harris managed to cross the threshold using a casting boat.

With the use of the budget control right this time, the Senate could pass the relief bill with a majority vote, not the 60 votes normally required for bill processing. The foundation was laid for the Democratic Party to handle large-scale economic stimulus plans alone. However, if even one rebellion vote comes out from the inside, the bill could be dismissed.

The resolution mostly reflected the remedies proposed by President Biden, including an additional $1400 cash payment, extended unemployment benefits, funding for vaccine distribution and testing, state and local government support, and increased child tax credits and labor tax credits.

The Senate is expected to hold a final vote at the end of this month or next month when the judgment on the impeachment of former President Trump is over. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said he aims to pass the House later this month.

Previously, President Biden presented a stimulus plan to Congress when he took office, but the Republican Party is strongly opposed to the concerns of increased debt. In particular, the content of paying $1,400 in cash per capita to citizens with an annual income of 75,000 dollars (about 84 million won, 150,000 dollars per couple) became an issue. Some Republican senators have even proposed amendments worth a third, worth $600 billion.
