The Head of the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Section, the Health Service, KBB, Jajang Mulyana said, the figure was fairly high, because KBB was indeed an endemic area for DHF.
“KBB is an endemic area for dengue fever, so cases always appear every year. Of the cases that appear, most of them occur at the Tagog Apu and Padalarang Health Centers,” he said, Tuesday (2/11/2021).

It tries to prevent cases that arise from spreading and causing more victims. This includes fogging in a number of communities. It’s just that because the quota is limited, the fogging area is the priority.
“Our fogging quota this year is only for 13 loci, that’s why cases arise, so it’s a priority to visit them, so they don’t spread to other areas. Such as in Tanimulya Village, Campaka Mekar Village, Batulayang Village, Kertamukti Village, and Ciburuy Village,” he said.
According to him, until now the budget for the fogging has been fully absorbed. The last fogging was carried out during August-October at six loci.
Prior to fogging, there was an Epidemiological Investigation (PE) activity by the Puskesmas. Residents are also advised to carry out mosquito nest eradication (PSN).

Furthermore, he said, what worries him is the dengue fever attack which will continue until the end of the year. Especially now that the rainy season has entered and there are likely to be many puddles of water that are breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
“People are asked to do the 3M movement so that Aedes aegypti mosquitoes don’t breed. So people shouldn’t be careless, even though they are still in a state of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he concluded.
