21 years imprisonment for liquidating Delft Karel Pronk

Errol J., 53, has been sentenced to 21 years’ imprisonment for liquidating the Delft criminal Karel Pronk. The Public Prosecutor had demanded 22 years of imprisonment against him.

Pronk was shot dead in broad daylight in front of a coffee house in Delft in August 2018. Several people witnessed it. They also saw who shot. J.’s DNA was found on the bullet casings found at the café. He was arrested in Spain last summer.

The judge deems it proven that J. was the shooter and that it is a murder, writes Broadcaster West. The court ruled that Pronk “was shot completely unexpectedly in a brutal manner”. Pronk was shot in the back and, according to the court, had no chance to defend himself.

Motive unclear

The motive for the murder is unclear. “The rumors that there would have been an argument are in the file. But in the end there are no witnesses who have been able to confirm that,” said the public prosecutor. The suspect himself has always remained silent during interrogations of the police and during the handling of his case in court.
