Darmstadt (ots) – After a handbag robbery on Friday evening (March 5) in the Albert Schweitzer facility, the detective office 35 from the Darmstadt criminal police is looking for witnesses with relevant information.
At around midnight, three as yet unknown perpetrators approached a 21-year-old woman in Hindenburgstrasse, suddenly snatched her handbag and immediately fled. The attempt of her 20-year-old companion from Darmstadt to stop the perpetrators ended with a slap in the face and the fall to the ground. The criminals escaped with their prey. They have been described as being approximately 14 to 20 years old and of slender stature. One of the perpetrators was wearing a shiny black “Nike” jacket and a black woolen hat. A “trimmed full beard” and a gold chain with a pendant were perceived as unusual features. After the report was filed the following day and the crime scene was searched, the bag and its contents were found in the crime scene area with a destroyed cell phone. The damage is currently estimated at 1300 euros.
Witnesses who have noticed something suspicious in this context, who were able to observe the incident or who can provide information about the identity of the perpetrators, are asked to contact the officers (phone number 06151/9690).
