21 Vehicles Seized and 25 People Examined As a result of the Motorists Entry into the Kelapa Gading-Pulogebang Toll Road

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Sub-Directorate of Law Enforcement (Gakkum) of the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya secured 21 motorized vehicles caused by a group of motorbikes entering the Kelapa Gading-Pulogebang Inner Elevated Toll Road.

“There have been 21 ranmors (motorized vehicles) that have been secured,” said Head of Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Jamal told reporters, Sunday (6/2/2022).

In addition, as many as 25 people are still undergoing examination at the Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya.

“More complete information when released later,” said Jamal.

When contacted separately, one of the motorcyclists, Dimas, said that he and his colleagues went to the Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Sunday afternoon.

“The plan is that today we will be given education by the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya. We will probably be at the location at 10.00 WIB,” said Dimas when contacted by reporters.

The incident with the group of motorcyclists entering the toll road was discovered after the video went viral and was widely circulated on social media.

In the video uploaded to the @recordjakarta account, it can be seen that supermoto motorbike riders are bustling into the elevated toll road.

Some of them even have attractions by standing on their motorbikes while crossing the freeway.

In the video description it is explained that the reckless action of the motorbikes was carried out on Saturday (26/2/2022) in the morning at around 03.00 WIB.
