The results of the cultural heritage of Homo sapiens include the following, including:
1. Square Ax
Researchers named Von Heine Galdern conducted research on square axes. He noticed that the cross section of the reeds was sometimes rectangular or trapezoidal, thus giving the name the square axe. The square ax is made of beautiful stones that are very beautifully and delicately crafted. This causes that the object may not be used for work, but only as a symbol of greatness, amulets, ceremonial tools, or as a means of exchange (barter).
2. Funnel Ax (Shoe Ax)
The funnel ax is a bronze ax with a hole in the top, in the shape of a funnel used to insert wooden stalks. There are funnel axes that are small and smooth, namely candrasa. This tool is allegedly only used as a sign of greatness or a ceremonial tool because of its small and smooth shape. Funnel axes are thought to have been made using the a cire perdue technique.
3. Nekara
Nekara is a large drum made of bronze, waisted in the middle, and closed at the top. Nekara is usually used as ceremonial equipment. This can be seen from the decorations on the walls of the nekara. The decoration is also a picture of the life and culture that developed at that time. Nekara there are large and small. Nekara which is small and slender is called moko or mako. These types of artifacts are found in Sumatra, Java, Bali, Sangean Island, Sumbawa, Roti, Leti, Selayar, and the Kei Islands. The large nekara is found in Bali and the small and slender one is found on the island of Alor.
4. Hand Ax
The hand ax is shaped like a forage ax, but is much smaller in size. This tool is used by gripping on the smaller end. Almost all regions of the archipelago have these tools.
5. Flake Tool
The flake tool serves as a knife, arrowhead, and cutting tool. This tool was discovered by Von Keonigswald in 1934 in Sangiran, Gua Lawa (Sampung, Ponorogo), Cabbenge (South Sulawesi), Timor, and Roti. This tool is small between 10 – 20 cm and is often found in caves.
6. Bone Tools or Pointed Horns
Bone tools or pointed horns made of animal bones for knives, daggers, and spearheads are commonly found in Ngandong (Ngawi, East Java). In addition to these cultural products, there are also other cultural products of the early human type Homo sapiens. The cultural products include short axes (Bache Courte), flakes, bronze vessels, Sumatran hand axes (Pabble), stone axes, and bronze jewelry and beads.
