This Thursday, the TV News held the 20th edition of Round Table Trophy. The event rewarded the best players of the season. São Paulo and Brazilian champion, the Palm trees dominated the ideal 2023 team, with four names.
The lineup has: Everson (Atlético-MG); Rafinha (São Paulo), Murilo (Palmeiras), Beraldo (São Paulo) and Piquerez (Palmeiras); Tchê Tchê (Botafogo), Villasanti (Grêmio) and Raphael Veiga (Palmeiras); Lucas Moura (São Paulo), Luis Suárez (Grêmio) and Endrick (Palmeiras). The best coach was Dorival Júnior, from São Paulo.
Luis Suárez was also named the best player of 2023. The Grêmio striker played 54 games this season, scored 29 goals and provided 17 assists.

“Thank you very much. The three four months I played at Nacional were also cool. The year here at Grêmio was very good. The Uruguayan received the award from Lucas Leiva, a former midfielder who is a personal friend of the center forward. Both played together for Liverpool, in England.
“What a privilege to have him here in Brazil, people who follow Brazilian football know how intense the calendar is. An athlete of his level comes to play for Grêmio, accepting this challenge is gratifying. We were once together at Liverpool and now we live almost next door to each other”, said Lucas Leiva.

Hernanes was also decorated. The former São Paulo midfielder is the biggest winner of the season Round Table Trophywith six mugs.

Former defender Dedé was another recipient. The defender, who stood out wearing the Vasco and Cruzeiro shirts, received the award on five occasions.
“Exciting. You provide one of the most beautiful moments of my life. It is a very important meaning. This trophy will be ahead of the others. It’s a huge thing to be honored. I’m always very emotional here and today I am again. Thank you very much. These are moments that remind us of everything we experienced in football”, he commented.
The vote was initially carried out popularly. The internet user indicated two names per position. To complete the three nominees, the program’s journalists Round table indicated one more in each position. Thus, these three nominees, in each position, were sent to a committee of journalists from across the country to define the award winners.
