World Cup 2026
It’s done. More than two years before the event, FIFA has unveiled the calendar for the men’s football World Cup in 2026, in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The final will take place on Sunday July 19 at the New York New Jersey stadium. The opening match will take place at the legendary Azteca stadium in Mexico City on Thursday June 11. The three host countries will make their first home outing, respectively at the Toronto stadium for Canada, at the Azteca stadium in Mexico for Mexico, and at the Los Angeles stadium for the United States. These three countries are also guaranteed to play at home for their three group matches, with meetings in Guadalajara, Vancouver and Seattle. The small final will be played in Miami, the two semi-finals in Dallas and Atlanta. Finally, nine matches will take place in Dallas, the most popular host city of the tournament. The teams will benefit from three days of rest before 103 of the 104 matches on the program. They will be spread over three zones (East, Center and West) in order to reduce travel for both teams and supporters. Posters and kick-off times will be confirmed following the final draw for the competition, scheduled for the end of 2025.
