BAMAKO- In the first leg of the second round of the 2024 African Women’s Cup qualifiers in Morocco, the Guinean women’s national team traveled to the March 26 stadium in Bamako to challenge their Mali counterpart in this first round.
At the end of this opposition, it was the Malians who won this first battle hands down after their faultless success (7-2). The 2 Guinean goals were scored by Suzane Daniel Lamah and Nency Kourouma. A poor performance and a large defeat for Syli National Féminin who will probably have to make way for the Malians to qualify for the next round. Less than a huge surprise in the return match.
Not having an approved stadium, Guinea will host Mali in Senegal for the return leg. The match is scheduled for December 5, 2023 in Thiès. Kick-off: 4 p.m. GMT.
