The Ministry of Economic Affairs has launched the call for proposals for the state’s 2024 Innovation Prize. The award goes to technology-open ideas and their implementation for innovative products, processes or services from medium-sized companies. The application deadline is May 31, 2024.
“Baden-Württemberg is at the top in Germany and Europe as a research and development location. Innovations and inventions have a long and successful tradition in our country. They have been the basis for our economic success and prosperity for generations,” said Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism, on February 16, 2024 at the start of this year’s call for applications for the Dr. Rudolf Eberle Prize State Innovation Award. “With the innovation award we show the enormous potential we have in the country Start-up to medium-sized traditional companies. More than ever, we need people who tackle current challenges with courage and determination and ultimately bring future-proof products, processes or services onto the market with their innovations. They make a significant contribution to the country’s economic success,” continued Hoffmeister-Kraut.
The state’s innovation prize is being awarded for the 40th time
The Innovation Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg honors technology-open ideas and their implementation for innovative products, processes or services from medium-sized companies from industry, trade and technological services. The state’s innovation prize is being awarded for the 40th time this year and is part of a long tradition. It is endowed with a total of 50,000 euros and is awarded to the former Minister of Economics Dr. Dedicated to Rudolf Eberle. The prize will be ceremoniously presented at a public awards ceremony on November 25, 2024.

- Companies with up to 500 employees,
- with an annual turnover of up to 100 million euros and
- based in Baden-Württemberg.
The submitted applications are evaluated by a jury of experts from business and science based on technical progress, special entrepreneurial performance and sustainable economic success.
