As the campaign for the 2024 presidential elections begins in the United States, it is most likely that after the primaries we will see a replay of the competition between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Judging by the 2020 electoral map, Biden is well positioned to win. But American political life is unpredictable and all sorts of surprises, in all sorts of areas – health, justice or economics – can change the landscape. So many foreign friends ask me what would become of US foreign policy if Trump were to return to the White House.
