Several survey institutions record the electability of participants 2024 presidential election in the voter segment of elementary, middle, high school and college graduates.
Their electability varies. It is high among elementary school graduates but low among voters whose educational background is at university level.
There is also the opposite. Low among university graduates, but high among elementary school graduates. Not to be left behind, there are also presidential candidates whose electability tends to be evenly distributed across all educational backgrounds.
The following is data on the electability of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD from various survey institutions when viewed from the educational background of the respondents.
Indonesian Political Indicators conducted a survey from 23 November to 1 December 2023. Involving 1,200 respondents in all provinces in Indonesia. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling method. The survey’s margin of error is around 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) conducted research on 3-5 December 2023. The respondents involved were 1,462 people. Respondent selection was carried out through a process of random telephone number generation, validation and screening. The survey’s margin of error is estimated to be ±2.6% at a 95 percent confidence level assuming simple random sampling.
The Poltracking Indonesia survey was conducted from 29 November to 5 December involving 1,220 respondents. Samples were taken using the multistage random sampling method. The margin of error is around 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
LSI Denny JA conducted a face-to-face survey using a questionnaire to 1,200 respondents throughout Indonesia. The margin of error for this survey is 2.9 percent. The survey was conducted from November 20 to December 3, 2023.

Rational voters consist of respondents who prioritize (1) performance and experience (2) vision, mission and programs (3) quality or competency.
Psychological voters look more at (1) character (2) age (3) physical appearance and (3) gender. Meanwhile, sociological voters prioritize (1) religion (2) regional origin and (3) race or ethnicity of the candidates.
