Betrayed by the DéFI (who have since joined Les Engagés and the ranks of the RPF), the ecologists have become aware during these 6 years of “the impossibility of doing politics only between politicians, but with citizens, associations, the administration“.

“50% have no political affiliation”

What Écolo + wanted to implement to constitute its list, by banking on collective intelligence, where the majority in place “relies on individualities, without any real ability to question them“.

Among the 19 candidates (engineers, a geographer, a computer scientist-market gardener, educators, social workers, etc.) on this Écolo + list, six are well-known faces from the municipal councils and the CPAS: Magali Deproost, Hanzel Van Muylder, Anne Jouniaux, Anne-Françoise Nollet, Albert Mabille and Étienne Dubois. Carine Henry, who was president of the CPAS, will be on the provincial Écolo list, as she is currently moving to Assesse.

There is continuity mixed with internal renewalindicates Albert Mabille, placed in 18th position. Being an alderman again? I cannot betray the trust of the voters if they vote for me, but I am mainly here to ensure the transfer of knowledge.

To develop both the program and the list, the pillars of the list invited citizens from all sides (except the extremes). We co-constructed the project with an open and pluralist list. 50% of our candidates are new and have no political affiliation, motivated to carry out concrete actions (200 proposals selected)“, explains Hanzel Van Muylder.

“Our 4 axes are living together (in particular via a real sports policy in consultation with the clubs to support their development), good governance and democracy (with a participatory budget), the living environment (finishing the Floreffe center in consultation with the residents) as well as the economy, employment and tourism (creating a local development agency and meeting spaces).

In this list, almost all sections of Floreffe are represented, the youngest is 19 years old and the eldest, 77 years old.
