He continued, “Korea must find a new path. At the core of the new path and solution we propose is humanomics, a ‘people-centered economy.’” He continued, “The ‘GDP-centered economy’ (number-centered economy), which has been pursuing only quantitative growth, is “We have already reached our limit,” he emphasized. “We must move towards humanomics.”

The theme of this forum was ‘AI and Humanomics’, and it was designed as a forum for discussion to seek balance between a future society led by artificial intelligence technology and people-centered economic policies.

Following the opening speech, Professor Stuart Russell, professor of computer science at UC Berkeley and author of ‘Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach’, also known as the ‘AI textbook’, defined the concepts and principles of humanomics. Following the keynote speech, Governor Kim Dong-yeon chaired the opening talk and conducted a discussion on the topic, ‘In the AI ​​era, why humanomics?’ In the opening talk, Peter Norvig, a special education researcher at Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute, gave a presentation on the topic ‘AI for Better or Worse’ and then had a conversation with two keynote speakers.

Peter Novick is the co-author of ‘Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach’ with Stuart Russell and has also worked as a research director at NASA and Google.
